With this year’s Innovationspreis 2018 3 patent applications or granted applications from the field of modern biotechnology or medical engineering relating to biotechnology will be honored. The overall aim is to support scientists and researchers with their implementation of marketable ideas and their business formation.
- Who is able to apply:
- Scientists from university and non-university research institutes who are the inventor or holder of the patent application or the patent itself
- Juridical persons of the public law (e.g. University, University of Applied Sciences or patent utilization agencies) who are the holder of the patent application or the patent itself
- Researchers interested in the commercializaton of their idea
- already existing enterprises which have not obtained any crucial sales yet und have not provided investors with company shares
Each of the 3 winners receives a prize endowed with € 2.000 which is going to be bestowed during the Deutsche Biotechnologietage 2018. At the award ceremony, the winners can present their invention in attendance of an international expert audience and potential investors as well. As a laureate, you can benefit from the media attention and the coverage in distinctive specialist media.
The application deadline concludes on February 18, 2018.
The Innovationspreis der BioRegionen Deutschlands promotes the transfer between science and economy. Also the interest in biotechnological research will be stimulated.
