Forschungszentrum Jülich participates in four excellence clusters

Within the framework of “Exzellenzstrategie” of the Government and the Lands the Forschungszentrum Jülich participates in four excellence clusters und functions as a partner of the respective universities.
These are the following excellence clusters:

  • “CEPLAS Cluster of Excellence on Plant Sciences – SMART plants for the demands of tomorrow” with the Heinrich-Heine Universität Düsseldorf and University of Cologne,
  • “The Fuel Science Center – Adaptive Conversion Systems for Renewable Energy and Carbon Sources” with RWTH Aachen University,
  • “ML4Q – Matter and Light for Quantum Computing” with RWTH Aachen University, University of Cologne and Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn
  • “PhenoRob – Robotics and Phenotyping for Sustainable Crop Production” with the Universität Bonn.
