On Tuesday the 14th March 2018, the annual general meeting of MedLife e.V. took place. 34 attendees ensured that the seminar room in the newly opened Center for Biohybrid Medical Systems (CBMS) on the RWTH Aachen Campus Melaten was full.
At the beginning the host and vice chairman of MedLife e.V. Prof. Dr. Stefan Jockenhövel gave an overview of the concept of the new CBMS and presented the impressive developments of his resreach department in the field of biohybrid implants.
Subsequently, the chairman Dr. Simon Dietz opened the general meeting. Herewith, the regular election of a new advisory board was on the agenda. This was voted with a great consent by the present members.The advisory board consists of approved representatives of economy, industry and research und deliberatively supports the association.
Collectively, the members retrospected on a successful business year 2017 (annual report) with diverse activities. As a network of competences it is the aim of MedLife e.V. to position and to reinforce the technology region Aachen regionally and internationally as a considerable and future-oriented site of Life Sciences. The members were invoked to contribute on this issue.
