MedLife GmbH hosted second symposium on “Telematics/Telemedicine with focus on cardiovascular diseases”

On the 14th of December 2016, MedLife GmbH hosted a symposium on the “Utilization, benefit and acceptance of Telemonitoring of patients with implanted cardiac aggregates. The event had a euregional networking character by integrating clinicians from Belgium and the Netherlands and was carried out in close cooperation with the Ministry of Health, Equalities, Care and Ageing (MGEPA). After two interesting keynote lectures (Dr. Josiane Boyne, University Medical Center, Maastricht; Dr. Pieter Vandervoort, Ziekenhuis, Oost-Limburg, Genk), about 70 attendees from medicine and care, representatives of the industry as well as patients discussed about the utilization of cardiac aggregates including their reimbursement and the general patient acceptance. The panel discussion was held with clinical experts and representatives of industry. The symposium was moderated by Mr. Jan Oostenbrink (Intercultural Management & Cross-Border Cooperation, Groning) in German, Dutch and English.
