What are the propects of the idividual diagnostics and treatment for patients? What is still a vision of the future and what is already possible?
Participants from the areas of industry and research and young scientists received information to these questions at the well-attended 16th BioTec-Meeting hold in Baesweiler on 25th of november 2016. research institutes and businesses presented their special diagnostic and therapeutic procedures or their development. Especially in the case of severe deseases, a care best suited to the individual needs of patients promises better treatment results.
The lectures presented NRW, the Städteregion Aachen and the Rheinland in particular, as a strong, innovative location for biotechnology. Cluster manager Dr. Bernward Garthoff has made quite clear that biotecnology is the key tecnology in NRW to address the challenges of our time.
The participants had the opportunity to see how it looks like in practice by subsequent visits of the local companies m2p-labs and PerkinElmer chemagen technology.
