Our member Adhesys Medical has been accepted into the German Accelerator Life Sciences (GALS) program, an initiative of the German Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi). Based on this new collaboration, Adhesys Medical intends to strengthen its presence in the US by founding a second US subsidiary and by having access to the resources of the GALS. Thus, the FDA approval for its wound adhesive is to be accelerated. Furthermore, the company has already applied for CE certification for the topical skin adhesive CUTIS in Europe.
Adhesys Medical develops innovative surgical adhesives that seal wounds on the skin and in the body. The company was founded in Aachen in 2013 and expanded into the USA in 2015 with the founding of a subsidiary in Houston, Texas.
