MedLife e.V. is expanding its competence network with the Institute of Medical Informatics of the Uniklinikum RWTH Aachen (IMI).
With the three research departments, Image and Data Management, Knowledge based Systems, and mHealth, the focus is on the development and application of intelligent medical computer systems as well as mobile support in health services novel body sensors, smartphones, and wearable and implantable technology. Its aim is to simplify the access to healthcare and health-related Information so that medical expertise and sophisticated diagnostic tools from clinical facilities to experts as well as lay people.
