Hemovent GmbH got overwhelmingly enthusiastic clinician feedback for its ECLS device at REANIMATE 4, one of the leading-edge endovascular resuscitation conferences, organized by the ED ECMO Project. This event marked the first-ever presentation of the final design for the first application of Hemovent’s artificial lung platform designed for a whole range of applications. This is the first integrated solution accommodating both gas and blood management.
Our member, Mecora Medizintechnik GmbH, has together with the company Airworxx designed a new generation of cleanrooms. The so-called „sphairlab“ is a textile cleanroom which is convincing not just due to its futuristic desgin but also to its new defined function.
Compared to classic cleanrooms this mobile cleanroom can be provided as an interim solution when the production cannot be stopped until completion of the actual cleanroom.
A MedLife – BusinessTreff spezial to the topic Medical Big Data will take place on the 5th of october 2017 in Aachen. This topic will be tackled from a legal and security-relevance point of view and from the angle of everyday lives in three speeches of acknowledged experts.

For the eighth time now the network ZENIT e.V. is awarding its renowned innovation prize, endowed with 5.000 Euros, under this year’s motto “success through cooperation”. Cooperation between companies or companies and a university or rather research institute are required, which developed jointly innovative products or services. Applications can be submitted until 30 November 2017.

The Ministry of Economic Affairs and the NRW.BANK honour outstanding achievements of young companies who were established between 1st of January 2012 and 31st of December 2015. The prize supports a lasting culture of entrepreneurship in North-Rhine Westphalia and is directed at small and medium-sized, independent enterprises (SMEs) and freelancers from industry, trade and services.
The working group of BioRegionen in Germany – AK BioRegio – elected its speech board for the next two years at its session on the 27th June 2017. After six years Dr. Klaus Eichenberg, Managing Director of BioRegio STERN Management GmbH, was no longer at disposal as a spokeperson. He is now succeeded by Dr. Hinrich Habeck, Managing Director of Life Science Nordmanagement GmbH from Hamburg.
The Institut für Textiltechnik (ITA) of RWTH Aachen University and the company mezzo-forte Streichinstrumente, Werther, Germany, jointly developed together a decomposable double bass made out of carbon reinforced plastics whose neck and corpus can be dismantled through a junction made out of carbon reinforced plastics, too.
