AC²-Gründerpreis 2018 for start-up of FH Aachen

Peter Linder and Dr. Matthias Großmann of the spin-off innoVitro GmbH won the AC²-Gründerwettbewerb (founders cempetition) with their innovative method of analysis to examine agents on artificially generated myocardial tissue. The method based on the “CellDrum” technology renders animal testing increasingly redundant.

Change at Grünenthal: Dr. Philip Just Larsen becomes new Chief Scientific Officer

Philip Just Larsen was appointed as the Chief Scientific Officer by the Aachen family company Grünenthal. Since 1st July, 2018 the internist and neurologist by training Larsen is the head of the research and development organisation. Hence, he succeeds the former director of research Dr. Klaus-Dieter Langner who leaves the enterprise after 20 years.
